Starting Point: Seah Im Parking Area
The Heritage Kapok Tree: Begin your hike at the Seah Im Parking Area, conveniently situated near the Heritage Kapok Tree. To access the first of four World War II historical sites, look for a gap in the fence that leads to the Air Raid Shelter. This shelter, positioned just 30 meters beyond the tree, stands out with its distinct brickwork that marks the entrance. Air Raid Shelter
The first stop: Once you pass through the fence, spotting the AIR RAID SHELTER becomes effortless. Although entering involves bending through a low tunnel, the experience inside offers a glimpse into history, with a muddy floor and walls decorated with graffiti that tell stories from the past.Stretching about ten meters in length, this brief visit gives you a tangible connection to Singapore’s wartime history. Continuing the Keppel Hill Jungle Hike: After exploring the shelter, follow the trail up a steep path that guides you toward Wishart Road. Once you reach the road, turn left and walk approximately fifty meters until you see a branching road on the right. Take this turn, and shortly afterward, you arrive at KEPPEL HILL RESERVOIR. This scenic route offers a smooth transition from history to nature, allowing you to continue enjoying the lush surroundings and tranquil waters of the reservoir.
Take the small road to left of the sign and follow until it joins a dirt track.
Keppel Hill Reservoir
The second stop: At Wishart Road, take the left fork and follow the trail, which leads you to the Keppel Hill Reservoir, once a vital water source for nearby villages. As you walk, the path becomes enveloped in dense foliage, offering a scenic detour past the tranquil pond. This site is shown on GOOGLE MAPS.

Keppel Hill Bunker
The third stop: Continuing along the upward jungle track from the reservoir, you will soon discover the next site: the Keppel Hill Bunker. To reach it, follow the orange paint spots and hike along a narrow trail uphill, immersing yourself in the lush surroundings. The bunker, partially concealed by nature, features an intriguing concrete structure atop it that hints at its historical significance. For an exhilarating experience, descend into the bunker using internal steel rungs, feeling connected to the past. After exploring the bunker, retrace your steps to continue your adventure toward the next stop: the Japanese Tomb. This site is shown on GOOGLE MAPS.

Entering the Bunker: Step up onto the bunker and spot a raised concrete box structure in the far left corner. This feature serves as the manway, providing access down into the bunker. To descend safely, use the steel rungs inside the structure, which offer a secure grip as you make your way down. This straightforward entrance gives you an immersive opportunity to explore the historic interior and get a closer look at the bunker’s construction and history.

Japanese Tomb
The final stop: Make your way toward the JAPANESE TOMB, situated east of the reservoir. Guided by orange paint and plastic strips tied to trees, traverse uphill until a red brick stairway directs you to the tomb. Reaching Mount Faber Peak
Getting to the top: From the Japanese Tomb, head northeast, keeping to the left on the trail. Despite its twists, the trail, marked with plastic stripes, leads you to your final destination — the grassy expanse below the Mount Faber Cable Car Terminal. If unsure, return to the Japanese Tomb to reorient yourself. This site is shown on GOOGLE MAPS.
Mount Faber Peak is the end of the trail.
