Typical Route:

• Start and end in Thakhek, typically traveled in a counterclockwise direction – total distance = 485 km.
• Head east along Highway 12, then north on Highway 1E, and west on Highway 8.

• From Konglor Cave, ride back to Highway 8, turn left and ride west to Highway 13. Note: Stop at the ROCK VIEWPOINT enroute.

Return Routes:

• Many travelers choose to head back the way they came via Highways 8, 1E, and 12, avoiding the more hazardous Highway 13.
